TIPS FROM EVERYSUN FOR EVERYDAY SUN LOVERS

Use these sun protection tips to get the most out of your sunscreen and make sure your family is 100% protected when enjoying the South African sunshine.

GET THE MOST OUT OF YOUR SUNBLOCK

Put your Everysun sunblock on at least 30 minutes before you go in the sun if possible.  Allowing it to absorb deeper into your skin before exposure to harmful rays will ensure maximum strength protection.  If you are likely to go swimming or do any activity that might make you sweat a lot, be sure and use a waterproof sunblock.
Always use the best SPF sunblock for your skin type – Everysun has products ranging right up to SPF 50 to choose from!  Sneak a peek at our SPF Chart to decide which one is best for you.  Reapply your Everysun sunblock regularly - at least every hour - especially after swimming and drying off with a towel.

WHEN TO AVOID THE SUN
The South African sun is notorious for its strength.  Exposing your skin to it when it is at its hottest during the day can be dangerous.  It is advisable to avoid going in the sun between the hours of 10am and 3pm.  Never go in the sun without proper Everysun sun protection and if you must go in the sun between these hours, make sure you take extra precautions - wear a hat, cover up and reapply your Everysun sunscreen religiously.

THE BITS THAT BURN THE MOST
Be thorough when putting on Everysun sunscreen.  All skin burns in the sun so it all needs to be protected.  Don’t forget your ears, nose, feet and toes!  The backs of knees and around the ankles are two more areas that often get neglected.  Also make sure to spread your Everysun sunscreen right up under swimming cozies so no skin is unprotected if the costume moves.  Your scalp can also burn so unless you fancy rubbing Everysun into your hair, wear a hat.

SUNCARE FOR ALL SEASONS
Don’t neglect sun protection just because it’s not the height of summer.  In autumn and winter the sun may lack the heat it has in summer but those harmful UVA and UVB rays are still there.  Cooler weather means more clothing but your face will still be exposed.  Everysun’s Everyday Anti-Ageing UV Face Protection lotions will give you and your family all the essential facial sun protection you need so use them every day.

KNOW YOUR SKIN TYPE

Use our simple chart to decide which SPF factor is the best for your skin type. SPF ratings tell you the level of sun protection a product will give you. Best advice is to use the highest SPF available whenever you go in the sun.
