ACQUIZHEN combines accurate science with the best nature to create an innovation in skincare, which is both certified organic and sustainable. Some ingredients used in ACQUIZHEN products are harvested from the wild. To meet our certification standards the harvesting of these products must be sustainable. We also aim to use ingredients which provide a fair wage to people at the plants source as well as maintaining the natural resources that they rely on.

Using ingredients that are harvested from organic or sustainable wild sources is only the first step in delivering our products in a considered manner. With a minimum of 99.20% of our active ingredients derived from natural sources we have responded to the logical as well as emotional motivation to embed sustainable business practice through the whole chain.

TREES FOR THE FUTURE

We plant one tree for every product purchased. ACQUIZHEN has partnered with Trees for the Future, a non-profit organization that plants trees around the world in communities struggling with severe problems related to deforestation; an agroforestry resource center helping people improve their rural livelihoods through the introduction of environmentally sustainable land management projects focused on beneficial tree planting.

ORGANIC CERTIFICATION

We chose ECOCERT as our certifying body because it is internationally recognised, and because we felt that the standards emphasise that ACQUIZHEN’s products are derived from nature.

ECOCERT is the body that certifies all our products as organic as shown in the ECOCERT ORGANIC COSMETIC logo on product packaging. The ECOCERT standards apply to the products and to the manufacturing process by which they are made and also specifies respect and transparency towards to the consumer as well.

Key principles of the certification

Principals include a minimum of 95% of plant ingredients are organic or sustainably harvested from the wild, ingredients are not derived from genetically modified organisms or from the petrochemical industry, products are not tested on animals and do not contain parabens. Environmentally cleaning products must be used at the place of manufacture and products must be packaged in recyclable formats and secondary packaging must be made from recyclable materials or recyclable.

DGNK (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Bio- und Naturkosmetik e.V.) is an independent association with a dedicated purpose to promote and support an awareness of the development, production and use of natural and organic skincare products.
